The Design
A black serpent rises through a field of crimson peonies, with restrained gold accents set into the ink. The form is built for a vertical placement: a moving body, a flowering ground, and a clear line of ascent.
This is a full-colour Chinese ink-inspired tattoo composition, created as a digital design file rather than a physical product.
Story & Symbolic Language
Peonies appear throughout Chinese visual culture as full, generous blooms. In this composition, they give the serpent a ceremonial field to move through rather than serving as decoration alone.
The serpent is treated as a figure of attentiveness and renewal. Its coils hold tension without becoming still; the red wash and flowering forms answer that control with warmth and motion. These are artistic associations drawn from the visible imagery, not promises of a spiritual, medical, or financial outcome.
Composition & Tattoo Translation
Best suited to the upper back, outer upper arm, lateral thigh, or calf. Keep the artwork upright and do not mirror it. A finished height of roughly 20–25 cm gives the scale pattern, layered petals, and small gold marks the room they need.
Your tattoo artist receives a transparent Master PNG and a white-background reference. The serpent anatomy, coil order, and central negative space should remain intact; only peripheral splatter or petal edges should be adapted for body flow.

FOR YOUR TATTOO ARTIST
MADE TO BE TATTOOED — NOT SIMPLY COPIED
The supplied artwork establishes the composition and symbolic structure of the piece.
Your tattoo artist may make reasonable technical adjustments to line weight, scale and curvature so the design follows your body and ages properly in skin.
Its defining composition and symbolic relationships should remain recognisable.
SYMBOLIC, NOT PROMISSORY
